Meeting with Mr.Ravi Shankar Prasadji, the Minister of Law and Justice
"Keeping in mind, the need of the people, I went to Delhi for two days, to attend a meeting with Mr.Ravi Shankar Prasadji, the Minister of Law and Justice and Electronics and Information Technology,GOI. During the meeting, it was discussed on how to make the people in the Panchayat areas in Manipur have more access to their documents like Aadhar card, PAN card, election ID etc at their nearest place or even at home by introducing the CFC software in more than 200 various places. Also met with Mr.Ravi Pratap Rudyji, the Union Minister of State Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (Independent Charge), GOI to discuss about the recently launched 200 projects under the Skill India programme . The meeting was attended by Ministers and various other stakeholders. We have discussed about which schemes will be more suitable in the North East region in general and Manipur specifically."

Meeting with the Union Textiles Minister
Meeting with the Union Textiles Minister, Smt Smriti Iraniji to discuss about possible developments in Manipur on the area of handloom and handicraft in due course of time. The Ministry agreed to open a Directorate of handloom in Manipur, which has one of the highest handicrafts units as well as highest number of craftsperson comprising of skilled and semi-skilled artisan in the entire north eastern region.

Felicitation by the Wangmataba Youth Club, Thoubal on 2nd October 2016, on the occasion of their Foundation Day. The event was held recognizing our efforts in Handicrafts wherein our team got selected as the National Innovator during the Innovation Submit, 2016, under the Department of Science and Technology and Ministry of Human Resource Development.

Celebration of the 25th Foundation Day
WIGC celebrated its 25thFoundation Day Celebration on the 7thNovember, 2021 with great joy andcheerful gathering. Distributions of certificates, children’s variety programmes, etc. were the mainitems of the programme. Also, during the programme, felicitations and gifts were offered to widows,old women and children.

Mixed Plantation
Mixed plantation includesthe plantation of Yendem,Umorok (King Chilly), Napakpi, Arum, Komprat, Samaroi, Mustard, Pumpkin,Brinjal, Torbot, Sweet potato,Tongningkhok, Nakupi, beans, etc. It is widely taken up at the WIGC farm areas and WIGC Complex,Thoubal Wangmataba. Mention may be made that WIGC always prioritizes the socio-economic development of the surrounding people of the projectarea while takingup projects. Hence,the optimum benefitfirst goes to the surrounding villagers.

Trees Plantation
Tree plantation is a regular activity of WIGC over the years. It is a part of the ongoing development works of Agro-based Tourism Centre. Apart from the collective plantation of medicinal plants in the area, several varieties of tress species are grown including Teak, Usoi, Wang, Uningthou, Taimaren, Pine, Tera,Uyung, etc.
