Apart from handicrafts, WIGC also strongly focuses on the promotion of handloom activities in Manipur. Over the years, WIGC has been putting considerable efforts to promote the handloom products of Manipur by developing its more weaving units with special attention to upgrade technical and design inputs of the weavers. To generate more employment among women, particularly rural and hill tribes, WIGC has renovated its looms with new design and technology inputs.
